Analysis of Malcolm X's "Prison Studies"

Malcolm X was a prisoner who wasn't been educated. He had never read before and he wasn't determined to learn. He asked for a dictionary and began to write down all the words. It helped him not only read and pronounce words but his own hand writing. Malcolm reads more in his room than in the library itself, I think it because he can create a good condition for reading and himself. Malcolm shows drive and love for something that is as simple as reading. It is very impressive that he educated himself so well. "Every time I catch a plane, I have with me a book that i want to read-- and that's a lot of books these days." It means Malcolm was developed a reading habit completely. It amazed me how much Malcolm X read. He said there were some days he read for 15 hours! "Where else but in prison could I have attacked my ignorance by being able to study intensely sometimes as much as fifteen hours a day" indicates his attitude.
